1. Because the Constitution says Trump can't profit from emoluments, no law, common or statutory, can authorize the transfer to Trump of any emolument. All the property Trump and his family have embezzled from the US can and will be recovered with interest.

1. This has been obvious to me but manner in which large loans are "underwritten" is often lost by people reporting on this. Most large commercial loans are funded by loan "participants." Some w/ hundreds. They usually create a secured bond/loan & one lender appointed as "agent."
2. I have thought from 2016 that @DeutscheBankAG is the agent for the Russian mob that makes up the participants. Both Trump and German economy will be destroyed if the truth is ever known. @TheDemocrats need to let @GermanyDiplo know their work with Russian mob is act of war.
3. Cough up the Trump Russian mob loan or face an embargo.

#Emoluments: @AndyGrewal and I have opposing views on the clauses, but I agree with his bottom line: It is odd that the 2d Cir found that the plaintiffs’ claims fall within the “zone of interests” of the clauses - without ruling on the meaning or purposes of the clauses.

But if a court decides that a plaintiff's claim is within that zone, surely it would have to address the meaning of the word "emolument" & original purpose of the clauses.

The argument that a criminal president should not be indicted rests on the premise that it would destabilize the government and interfere with the president fulfilling his constitutional duties. Trump has destabilized the government already and he's attacked the Constitution.
For a criminal sitting president who has held himself above the law, indicting @realDonaldTrump would help restore the rule of law and, through his removal, would help restore political stability.
Arguing that indicting Trump would impede him fulfilling his duties overlooks how often he neglects his duties to advance his own self-interests.
