This has to be said. All those trips to the US -- the Madison Garden, the Howdy Modi, the hugs -- none of it even earned a phone call after the US took out an Iranian leader.

And everyone knows India's major strategic interests in Iran.

Time to wake up and smell the...?

In sharp contrast, even the Pakistan Army Chief, a man whose extension has been deemed illegal by the Supreme Court -- got a call to inform him about the assassination.

Where is India's relevance in the global order, positive or negative?

And while some retired MEA officials will pooh pooh this away.

What former NSA, @ShivshankaMenon said needs to be read carefully. India is getting isolated, and it has more and more diplomatic IoUs to fulfill post #article370 and #CAA

And those arguing that it doesn't matter that no one from the US bothered to call.

President Trump used alleged "terror attacks" in New Delhi as one of the reasons to justify an international assassination.

But didn't bother to call.

Let that sink in.

And people can go on ignoring these facts. Even question them.

But as Indians ask yourself this -- was losing all this global and diplomatic capital worth it? And what did India really gain? And where?

Almost a year and India can't even get a trade deal with the US

- West pissed off or doesn't care (Ger,US,UK,Can) Only Fr standing
- China inimical

-Jpn barely hanging in

The on thing that India had --
Its economy and the market

Where does that stand today?
- GDP down
-Industrial production down
-IMF etc suspect India numbers
-Unemployment highest in 45 years
-Private consumption collapsed
-Food inflation in double digits
-middle income trap
