I feel *much* gloomier as this 4th Brexit deadline approaches...
Previously, it was hard to believe we wouldn't ask for extensions (and indeed we did, after nerve-wracking feet dragging) but this time it's hard to believe Parliament or anyone will stand in the way of 31 January.

In short: despite the evidence, I had some faith common sense would prevail. And it did.
But common sense died with the election. Now there's a disconnect, whereby it literally doesn't matter what most people think, because the Tories have an unassailable majority.
