But being the leader of a nation on the brink of war requires clear, measured, fluid communication about the what, why and how of America’s conflict — a skill the president has not been adept at
America is weary of war after decades of conflict. And discussing about why you’re sending kids to combat requires more than saying “OBAMA should’ve done it,” or “BUSH screwed it up.” It requires more than crytpic tweets in the night, or saying Democrats hate America.
De-escalation seems to be the way this is going, at the moment. But thousands of troops are heading into harms way, and we don’t — at the moment — know exactly what the administration is trying to achieve.
