Good populist talk. Two already in breach of treaty commitments. What happens when reality intrudes?
Perhaps the voters will like the populist talk and won't notice when the promises don't happen, or will blame others. Business most certainly does not like the populist talk or lack of reality in the statements.
Oddity of Johnson administration - lack of serious analytical pieces considering style and substance. Perhaps Brexit, election and pace of announcements leaving folk struggling to come to judgement. Please though flag good pieces I may have missed.
PS a few more conversations on UK international policy tonight. Most guess the overall answer is - never let reality intrude, even when it does. Keep telling the story otherwise. Not going to rule out that it works, but quite a balancing act.
