When supporting the CAA, Adnan Sami forgot to mention one key point:

that prior to getting citizenship, his stay in India was regularized on “humanitarian grounds”.

The story:

Adnan Sami’s Pakistan passport expired on 26th May 2015.

Pakistan refused to renew it.

Incidentally, in Sep 2015, Modi govt passed a notification regularizing the stay in India of Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, & Parsis from Pakistan & Bangladesh who had no passport/papers.

This was just *after* Adnan Sami’s stay was regularized.

Numerous press reports from 2015 confirm that his stay in India was regularized on “humanitarian grounds”.

Later in Oct 2015, after the approval of AG Mukul Rohatgi, he was given citizenship.

What precisely were these humanitarian grounds?

And how ironic & sad it is that Adnan Sami (who got his stay regularized on “humanitarian grounds” before the new Citizenship Rules kicked in) decides to now cheer the CAA which excludes persecuted Muslims from Pakistan.

No humanitarian grounds for others, Mr. Sami? 🤷🏻‍♂️

u first need an internal committee headed by a retired district or sessions judge to examine any such case.

This committee must conduct a detailed investigation & decide whether the offense was Level 1, 2, or 3.

Did your internal committee really complete an enquiry in 24hrs? Did Goswami give a statement? I bet on NOPE

I hope you have these papers.

Also, after reaching a decision, u have to give Kunal Kamra 60 days to appeal to an internal appellate committee which u need to constitute.

Have u done that? Hell - you haven’t.

Now good luck getting these papers in order. Being a sycophant doesn’t excuse u sadly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So here’s a little interesting story about Padmashree Adnan Sami.

In 2003, Adnan Sami bought 8 flats in Mumbai without permission from the RBI.

Pakistani nationals aren’t allowed to buy property in India without permission.

In December 2010, the ED ordered Sami to pay a penalty of 20 lakhs & also ordered that all these 8 flats be confiscated immediately.

Remember, Sami was still a Pakistani citizen then.

In 2016, Adnan Sami got Indian citizenship.

And then in Sep 2019, an ED Tribunal quashed the earlier order & said that Adnan Sami’s properties won’t be consfiscated.

Instead he got away with a 50 lakh penalty & retained his 8 properties.

OMG SOME OF THE GIRL STUDENTS ARE WEARING A BLACK SCARF AND THEY ARE BEING TOLD TO TAKE IT OFF!

This coordinator is saying - any other color is allowed. But they have specifically said you can’t wear black.
Now after a long discussion (and a few phone calls), they’ve figured a way out.

Anything black as part of the school uniform is acceptable (like a dupatta).

Black headscarves are not (no hijab basically).

These kids are from Kerala btw.
One of the kids who has been told to go back upstairs and change her black headscarf.

Totally not making this shit up. You can’t make this shit up.

1) I am not going to harp on this forever but do want to follow up briefly on what I was talking about yesterday with regards to media control of source information using today's IG letter as an example.
2) The Hill and Fox broke the story early this afternoon within minutes of each other close to 1pm. Here is an archived Hill article. archive.is/fHqEQ
3) They begin the article informing us that they received the letter and provide a synopsis, and one direct quote from the letter. This is the only direct quote in the article from the IG letter.
