Trump: Vision of peace fundamentally different from past proposals. In past were light on details. Ours is 80 pgs most detailed ever so far...problems require nuanced fact based remedies...makes region safer and much more prosperous...win-win for both sides.
Trump says Netanyahu will adopt the vision as the basis for negotiations, the general (Gantz) also endorsed it. The election “will end and we have the support. Almost all people in Israel want peace and they want peace badly.”
Trump: This is first time Israel has authorized the release of a territorial map...Unprecedented highly significant step.

Says Netanyahu “has the courage to take this bold step forward.”
Trump says they’ll form a committee with Israel so that “recognition can be immediately received” and there will be a contiguous “Palestinian state when the conditions are ready, including firm rejection of terrorism.” “Under plan Jerusalem will be undivided, very important”
Lots of applause for undivided Jerusalem
Trump on undivided Jerusalem: That’s no big deal because I’ve already done that for you.
Trump: Proposed 2 state solution will provide no security risk to Israel whatsoever. Won’t allow return to bus bombings, nightclub attacks. Peace requires compromise but won’t ask israel to compromise its security.
Trump: As everyone knows I’ve done a lot for Israel, moving embassy recognizing Golan heights and maybe most important getting out of terrible Iran deal
Trump says deal has to help the Palestinians too. “This might be the last chance they ever have” for a state.
Trump applauds his team

Says there will be a US embassy in Palestinian capital in east Jerusalem.
Trump says status quo on Temple Mount will be maintained and then calls the mosque “Al Aqua”
Trump says with the US economic package Palestinian poverty will be cut in half and then “they will be able to do well on their own. They are very capable people.”
To have a state, Palestinians have to “meet the standard of peaceful coexistence,” Trump says. They have to stop hamas and Islamic Jihad, stop incitement of terror and payments to terrorists.
Trump says he wrote a letter to Abbas explaining that territory allocated to his new state will stay open for 4 years. During that time they can work to reach the criteria and “become a truly independent and wonderful state .”
Trump to Abbas: If you choose the path to peace America and so many other countries will be there...we will be there every step of the way.
It will work, Trump says

This time he pronounces Al-Aksa correctly.

Trump: They say it’s the tougher deal ever to make. In business when I had a tough deal, people would say it’s tougher than Israel and the Palestinians. Actually there’s nothing tougher than this but we have to get it done. We have an obligation to humanity to get it done.
*toughest
Netanyahu is thanking everyone, Jared and Ivanka get the biggest applause of all
Netanyahu says presence of ambassadors of Bahrain, UAE and Oman “I was going to say portends I’d the future, but what a sign that portends of the present!”
Netanyahu: This is a historic default that recalls another historic day...(when) Ben-Gurion declared our independence...in decades we will also remember Jan 28, 2020. On this day you became the first Us president to recognize Israel’s sovereignty over areas of Judea and Samaria
Netanyahu: you have charted a future for israelis and Palestinians by setting a path for enduring peace.
Netanyahu says past plans failed “bc they did not strike the right balance between Israel’s security nerds and the Palestinian’s hope for self-determination”
Netanyahu: Rather than play easy lip service to Israel’s security...you realized Isrsel must have sovereignty over places that allow Israel to defend itself by itself
Netanyahu says W Bank was “outrageously labeled as illegally occupied territory” and Trump is “puncturing this big lie” and is recognizing Israeli sovereignty over all settlements
Netanyahu mentions Bet El, where Jacob had his dream and Shiloh, home of the Ark of the Covenant for centuries (?) are now recognized as a permanent part of the Jewish state.
Interjecting here, I’ll say, Israel has to actually annex them or there’s nothing for America to recognize...
Netanyahu: It’s a great plan for Israel, it’s a great plan for peace. Thank you Mr. President...You have been the best friend Israel has ever had in the White House.
Talking about all the ways trump is good for Israel, a lot of Iran...
Netanyahu says he shares Trump’s commitment to making peace between Israel and the Palestinians and the Arab world. Says Palestinians have a right to “dignity and their own national life” - notice he avoids saying a state.
Netanyahu says the plan “makes clear Palestinian refugee problem must be solved outside of Israel...ensures the ancient city of Jerusalem remains united,” maintains access for all to holy sites. No one uprooted from home.
Plan has “innovative solutions” where Palestinians connected to one another Israelis connected. “It helps that you come from real estate,” Netanyahu quips.
Netanyahu: Your peace plan offers the Palestinian a pathway to a future state. It may take them a long time to get to that path...but if the Pals are generally prepared to take that path...Israel will be there. Israel will be prepared to negotiate peace right away.
I take back what I said about him avoiding saying a state!
Israel will apply its law to Jordan valley, settlements in West Bank, that US plan says will recognize part of Israel, Netanyahu says. It will ensure Israel’s security and leave open possibility of political settlement in the coming years.
Netanyahu expresses hope Palestinians will embrace $50bn American investment and a “future of prosperity together with Israel”
Netanyahu thanking the whole Trump peace team
Netanyahu to Kushner: I know how much the future of the Jewish people means to you and your family. Well, Jared, the Jewish state owes you and President Trump and eternal debt of gratitude.
