Brexit is happening... I just have a few pretty simple questions about Boris Johnson's Brexit plans...
1⃣ Is it possible to negotiate trade links with the EU that are better than actually BEING the EU?
2⃣ If the answer is "no"... then given that there will be at least 28 other countries which are more integrated into the European Market than we will be...
Would the UK continue to be a top choice as a base of Europe-wide production/distribution, compared to them?
3⃣ How many UK jobs depend on businesses treating the UK as a base of Europe-wide distribution/production?
4⃣ Given that we already do half of our trade with non-EU countries, is Boris Johnson going to be able to negotiate enough new trade advantages with countries on the other side of the world, fast enough to make up for any losses in trade with the EU?

In November I asked @lucianaberger about antisemitism as I wanted to be sure. She had been desperate to support Corbyn. She went to him several times to try to resolve the issue of Corbyn-titled anti-jewish groups privately. For her, his refusal to act only had one explanation.
So Len McCluskey, of course antisemitism was used as a stick to beat Labour with, but whose fault is it that the stick exists!?

It's like saying "The judge used the fact that I ran over that guy on purpose as a stick to beat me with in court. Unfair!"

There is absolutely no doubt that the Tories have unleashed far more intolerance, division and hatred in the UK than Labour. But if Labour's going to be a true party of tolerance... Then its tolerance of intolerance needs to be zero.

One day people will understand that the biggest barrier for trade is the cost of adapting your products to the regulations of different countries... Who sets regulations? Politicians!
So political union is PART of economic union.

What the **** did you think economic union was?
There are only 2 types of barriers to trade: tariffs & regulations.
Tariff union = Customs union.
Regulatory union = Single Market!

And of course, as a couple of the comments are pointing out, the third main barrier is distance, but I've already given my geography lesson for the day. So I'll let you figure out for yourselves which countries are physically closest to us.

Maybe you don't get to complain that people keep raising their concerns about racism/intolerance after you just voted to give absolute power to a man who said black people have watermelon smiles, called gay people tank-topped bumboys and said muslim women look like bankrobbers?
Before you say "but Corbyn... antisemitism"... as I explained REPEATEDLY before the election, it wasn't realistically possible to give Corbyn absolute power. Even if tactical voting had worked perfectly he'd still have had his hands tied by the SNP & Dems.

EU source rejects the PMs assertion in Parliament just now that the ball is back in the EUs court now (regarding extension etc). EU leaders say they wait to hear from Boris Johnson as to what his next steps are /1
Im hearing immense frustration EU-side. Not at Parliament. There is European understanding that they want to scrutinise legislation in more detail. Frustration is with the PM /2

EU leaders pretty convinced they will soon by faced with Boris Johnson as new UK PM and opinion is split /1
Talk to different EU diplomats and politicians from different EU countries and you’ll get a number of different opinions as to how #Brexit will play out in the autumn /2
Some see BJ as one of the key architects of the Leave vote and therefore one of the few UK politicians able to sell a compromise deal with the EU to Parliament /3

I see now that the British government has been prevented by the EU from implenting the European social model that exists in France Germany Sweden Denmark the Netherlands and many other EU member States
The EU is to blame for privatisation as is witnessed by the way other European countries retain nationalised industried
