Philbin opened the door to discussion of what Trump knew about [false] allegations of corruption against Hunter Biden. So the question is now valid/warranted—if he heard Shokin's [false] allegations when they were made, did he *also* hear Lutsenko's *full retraction* pre-July 25?
PS/ In other words, Trump is now arguing he had a good-faith basis to believe a criminal investigation of Hunter Biden was warranted—and had that basis *before* Biden entered the presidential race. The problem: all those allegations were *retracted* before Trump's July 2019 call.
PS2/ Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office RETRACTED the allegations made by Shokin—via Shokin's replacement Lutsenko—in June '19, a month before the July '19 call. Are we to believe Trump was told what Shokin said but NOT what Lutsenko did—despite it coming from the same office?
PS3/ Moreover, Lutsenko was in *direct contact* with Trump's lawyer—so why in the world would Trump hear only *some* of what Lutsenko said, but not the rest? Are we to believe Trump's attorney was, behind closed doors, lying to him about what Lutsenko said? Why would he do that?
