Legislative Nerd Note: The Senate did not have a majority for either impeachment article against President Clinton.

The same thing will happen today with President Trump.

The difference will be that a member of the President's own party will be one of those voting 'guilty'
This just in - Sen Joe Manchin D-WV to vote 'Guilty' on Trump impeachment charges

McConnell blasts Pelosi for saying she won't accept a verdict of acquittal in the Senate.

"Perhaps she will tear up the verdict like she tore up the State of the Union Address"
The first vote is on Article I, accusing President Trump of abuse of power.
With Romney voting "Guilty," Article I is 52 Not Guilty, 48 Guilty. 67 votes were needed for approval. No other Senators broke party ranks on that vote.
The second vote is on Article II, accusing President Trump of obstruction of Congress.

Good news - my kids remember me. Now, let's get back to the New Hampshire Primary results.

Looking at the GOP side, it looks like several notable things happened on Tuesday night 1/
First, President Trump had a much larger than normal turnout for an incumbent running for re-election, as he won over 129,000 votes.

Obama - 49,000+ in 2012
George W. Bush - 54,000 in 2004
Bill Clinton - 76,800 in 1996 2/
Trump's percentage is 85.6%, higher than Obama's 81%, Bush's 79.6%, and Clinton's 84.4%.

BUT, the over 9 percent received by William Weld is by far the largest vote for one opponent in those same type of elections 3/

I'm in Exeter, New Hampshire where it's a very steady stream of cars and voters at this hour
This is a town that voted for Trump in the 2016 primary, while Sanders won over Clinton on the Democratic side
I don't see any Sanders signs at this hour. Instead there are Pete, Amy, and Warren signs mainly. Plus Trump and Weld.

Stone was convicted of obstruction of Congress, making 'numerous' false statements to Congress, and witness tampering. Original DOJ sentencing memo at

The National Emergencies Act of 1976 has been used 42 times. These so called experts NEVER questioned it, until now, of course. What Obama did with DACA, on the other hand, had ZERO statutory basis
Here's the 1 problem with National emergency: 6 Republicans threatening to vote against it, and yes, if the majority of both houses vote against it, it can destroy it. . So remember that Trump is the one fighting for you. He's not the problem. Point your blame where it belongs
