Thoughts on National Security

Politicians fling 'national security' as an all-purpose phrase to scratch their partisan itch du jour (Ukraine, Syria, foreign aid, Vindman, Burisma, you name it), but in reality, national security critically depends on presidential leadership. 1/
When it comes to inherently complex & risky maneuvers (troop sizes in various theaters, NATO funding, NSC personnel decisions, treaty negotiations, saber rattling, et al), absent a lot of information that we the public are correctly not privy to, we have to fall back on trust. 2/
So for critical national security decisions all we can do in the moment is to trust or not the leader singularly responsible for it. Based on his track record (decisions regarding ISIS, N. Korea, Iran, Javelins to Ukraine, et al), I trust President Trump on national security. 3/x
