Donald Trump has won the New Hampshire Republican Primary, which is no surprise. BUT... he could very well break Ronald Reagan's record tonight.

People might be shocked to know that New Hampshire doesn't vote monolithically for their party nominee, EVER.

Never. Ever.
At 82.6% of the vote, @realDonaldTrump is running ahead of @BarackObama's very impressive 80.91% level of support for an incumbent in a New Hampshire primary.

He's running just behind the all-time record held by Ronald Reagan in 1984.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama With 15% now reporting, Donald Trump's vote share ticked higher to 83%. He may have a real shot at this. Would be an exciting night for nerds like me who like records.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama Both G.W. Bush (80.96%) and Barack Obama (80.91%) put up solid incumbent vote shares in the New Hampshire Primary. As did Bill Clinton at (84.37%).

But Reagan holds the record at 86.42%).

Donald Trump is currently at 83% and appears to be rising slightly a tenth at a clip.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama Donald Trump is indeed climbing now to 83.4%.

Exciting. He could do it, folks.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama More than need to point this out...

If Donald Trump does break or come close to breaking the record tonight, which would be two in a row, then it would be the Manchester suburbs where he's outperforming his margins in the rest of the state.

That's why he has a real shot.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama At 84.4%, Donald Trump just surpassed Bill Clinton's second highest vote share for an incumbent president in a New Hampshire Primary.

The all-time record (86.4%) held by Ronald Reagan is now in real danger of being broken given vote shares by region and percentage of state vote.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama At 85.1% and 29% reporting, Donald Trump surpassed Bill Clinton's second highest vote share for an incumbent president in a New Hampshire Primary.

Ronald Reagan's all-time record (86.4%) is in REAL danger of being broken given vote shares by region and percentage of state vote.
@realDonaldTrump @BarackObama At 85.6% and 34% reporting, Donald Trump way passed Bill Clinton's second highest vote share for an incumbent president in a New Hampshire Primary.

Ronald Reagan's all-time record (86.4%) in sight given vote shares by region and percentage of state vote.

Stay tuned...
