Made the trek to Yehswanthpur to hear the one and only @ponnappa

Will try and post snippets in this thread: Everyone wants to learn, no one wants to study.
Growth is easy to talk about and know it intuitively but it's tough to define. You don't know what's coming next. When I started Growth Hacker and Data Science roles did not exist. You don't know what roles will exist in the future.
Growth is easy to talk about and know it intuitively but it's tough to define.

How would you know you've grown? How do you know you've made the right choice?
Emotional pain of growing is what slows us down.

We forget how hard it was at that time. Engineers for instance forget how hard it was for them.
You always forget how hard it was.
We know when we are not growing. Here are some proxies for growth.
Organizational abstraction - some people who manage reality - some who manage those who manage reality and the those who manage those who manage reality. Growing along this axis alone is dangerous as you get disconnected.
You go from what to do TO what not to do. You should not destalize. The number of questions you ask should go down. You ask the questions that matter.
You go from asking a lot of questions to asking few questions again and again.

You go from asking what I can help and do to what I can't help and what not to do.
Decide what you want to pursue.

Don't judge 5-9s with same yardstick as 5-90s.
One of the clearest ways to recognize growth of people who have grown want to talk to you :-)
If a VC comes and funds you without growing on any other axis, it is problematic. Growing in your career, without growing on other axis, is problematic.
Today's outcome is tomorrow output.
