The advice to "just retweet CDC" is particularly surprising.
CDC tested <500 samples by Feb 24. But direct molecular evidence last week from @trvrb indicated ~570 cases in WA alone. Both episodes were written up in NYT.

Look, credentialism is dumb, but @LizSpecht & @trvrb are more than qualified to comment.
Me? I was cofounder/CTO of a lab that ran more tests per day than CDC did in a month. At least in diagnostics, bioinformatics, stats, I think I can offer an opinion.
