The Executive Order 7 (2019) Projects, funded by Tax Credits issued to selected road concessionaires (private companies like Dangote, NLNG, Lafarge, etc):

Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonshoki-Ojota Road
Obajana-Kabba Road
Bonny-Bodo Bridges and Road
Obele-Ilaro-Papalanto-Shagamu Road
The #SukukBond Projects, funded by two Sukuk Bonds raised by @NigeriaGov, in 2017 and 2018 (N100 billion each). A 3rd Bond in the works:

Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway
Yenegwe Road Junction-Kolo-Otuoke-Bayelsa Palm
Benin-Ofosu-Ore-Ajebandele-Shagamu

An aside: Nigeria's infrastructure deficit is astounding, will take decades to close gap. But we have to start somewhere. There's so much being done today that should have been done a decade, 2 decades ago, sadly. Good thing is stuff done today frees up future Govts to do others.
Standard Gauge Rail (SGR) projects:
Funded mainly by ChinaExim Bank

Lagos-Ibadan: 158km; 10 Stations. Groundbreaking 2017; scheduled for completion 2020

Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri: 320km. Started 1987, completed 2020.

Ibadan-Ilorin-Minna-Kano: Contract signed; groundbreaking 2020
The 600+ kilometer Gas Pipeline from Ajaokuta to Abuja to Kaduna and then on to Kano:

Funded 15% by @NNPCgroup; 85% by a loan from China Export & Credit Insurance Corp.

Project originally conceived 2009, stalled shortly afterwards. Now back on track.
[PIDF - see first tweet in thread is currently worth about $1 billion, I believe; and another $300m is coming from the next Instalment of the Abacha Loot on its way to @NigeriaGov. Can’t think of a bigger public Infrastructure Fund in Nigeria since 1999].

Nigerian Blogs jumped on it with Screenshots 2 & 3, that’s she’s been named the “Head” of the Council.

1. Mostly online rags reporting it. No credible sources.

2. The reports are not based on any announcement from the SA Govt or NOI herself.
I hear #PDPeople are using what appears to be fake news to boast. Not sure what the basis for the boasting is, but then again it’s PDPeople.

Possible all those rags pushing the news are from their pdpropaganda arm.
The point here is about the quality of “journalism” and “blogging” these days. Now NOI may very well GO ON to be named “Head” of the Council, but the point is that as of today, March 7, 2020, there’s no justification for a story that makes that claim based simply off that tweet.

2nd Niger Bridge: this project was awarded in March, 2014 to our own Julius Berger at a cost of N130bn under Public Private Partnership (PPP) for 48months. As at January 17, 2015, a sum of N10bn has been spent as GEJ stated himself on his way to Onitsha to campaign for election
2. What was awarded to Julius Berger then was in 4 phases which involves piling work and others. When Buhari sorry new FG took over, d main contract was awarded at a cost of N206b. But between Jan 2015 till May 29, 2015 no cash backing from Works Ministry to JB again
3. Issues arose & FG decided that funding 2nd Niger Bridge via normal budgetary can never complete d project . Don’t forget that d original concept was PPP. As usual, d private sector refused to commit their funds since it was election year.

6. Make budgetary provision for the completion of ongoing rail projects, & initiation of new rail projects. #NigeriaDecides

Where we were:
Nigeria had huge infrastructure deficit. Decades of underinvestment & inadequate allocations led to underdevelopment of backbone of a modern economy-
2. In 2014, the GEJ Govt spent these sums on the following sectors: Transport (N14 billion), Agriculture & Water (N34 billion), Power, Works & Housing (N106 billion). Grossly inadequate, a lot of infrastructure projects were left abandoned and contractors unpaid. #NigeriaDecides
3. PMB committed to initiating & completing key infrastructure projects &demonstrated this through budgetary allocations & fund-raising & ensuring the plugging of leakages & cutting out waste, the government has been able to re-direct money into infrastructure & capital projects
