So big brother Germany has had their contestants cut off from the world since February 6th. They are having a live special right now to inform the people FOR THE FIRST TOME about the corona pandemic. Here my first live tweet...
The hosts are sitting behind safety glass to prevent any possible transmission of the virus to contestants 
They are now showing them a video to explain how the virus was first found in China and how it spread. Italy and other countries have now closed their borders, including Germany
Europeans aren’t allowed to travel to the US, the epidemic has turned into a pandemic, etc. schools and universities are closed as well as bars, clubs, large gatherings...
The contestants seem to believe everything (I would think they were totally fucking with me). The moderator is explaining that the reason they stopped hearing applause from a nearby audience is because they aren’t allowed to gather.

Through different German news media clips they are detailing the border closings to France, Poland and the Czech Republic. A Dr. is explaining to the contestants the transmission way - droplet and “smear” transmission
The Dr. is explaining that it’s extremely virulent and very dangerous for people with illnesses and lung issues. Coughing is the major symptom but also fever and sometime diarrhea
Contestants are now CRYING!!!!! One is saying her mom@is very sick. The moderators say that they will immediately inform them about any family members or close friends and that everyone is doing well so far

It is actually insane how serious the Germans are explaining this, I feel like it would be a cluster fuck for the US big brother (full disclosure I’m an American living in Germany)

They’re back! They are now showing personal video messages from friends and family to calm their nerves.
The friend are reassuring the contestants by saying “don’t worry, you’re not missing anything, all the bars and clubs are closed soooooo... 🥴”

A friend made a joke about having enough toilet paper and the contestants are like whaaaaat?!? 🤷🏻♀️
A girl’s friend is a nurse in Austria and sent a video in her PPE that they are fighting hard and not to worry 😬
This one guy has SIX kids and left his wife ALONE to be a contestant on #bigbrothergermany and now the schools are closed until late April and his very attractive wife is alone with SIX CHILDREN all day and the youngest is a baby 🤦🏻♀️
General reaction to the videos, lots of tears, applause from contestants and uncomfortable laughter. I don’t know how this show usually goes but I assume this level of support from other contestants is not normal

Moderator left, but some contestants are still BAWLING and are basically inconsolable even though their families and friends sent videos to say they’re ok
