1/ We’re trying to decide whether to ride out the virus in Mexico City or go back to LA now or soon. I’d appreciate a little help making the decision 👇👇👇
2/ Only advantage of staying is that we can completely self-isolate in our apartment since we both work from home, and it’s possible that there’s not as many cases here (though there’s not much testing)
3/ Cons of leaving are that we’ll have to go through many high risk places, like CDMX airport and LAX, Ubers, and wherever in LA we stay for the time being
4/ Pros of leaving are that we potentially have access to better healthcare in the US (though not if system gets overwhelmed, and hospitals here are good); also being closer to family would be nice even if we can’t meet them in person
5/ And finally, cons of staying are that we don’t know the healthcare system here very well, virus may hit worse here because they’re taking so few precautions, and borders may close or flights cancelled which would leave us stuck here
6/ So the question is, should we leave and if so, when?
