There’s real confusion in schools. Heads are waiting for govt to define key workers so they can plan which will remain open, staffing levels etc. Some local authorities are providing a steer but others not. In lieu of guidance have been told some feel they’ll have to open Monday.
Can’t help escape the feeling central govt is slowly being swamped. So many demands from different bits of the British state/public services on the ground. They’re needing guidance from Whitehall at every stage but often central govt hasn’t issued it yet. Result=confusion.
More confusion about key workers in schools- still no definition from govt. Source in a London academy chain tells me they’ve had to make up their own list so letters can be sent out to parents and schools can have some idea of how many kids to expect next week.
