#Yang has said multiple times that he knows #Independents can't win the presidential and almost never win Congressional races, EXCEPT where there's open, #RCV elections, like #Alaska, and he's not encouraging anyone to register as Independent.
He's also said #Forward will be supporting #Republicans and #Democrats who align with his policy goals.
All this suggests he's just planning to support good candidates, wherever they come from.

But saying stuff like “I'm leaving the Democratic Party and starting a new party” does not elicit that in people's minds.
They assume (wrongly) he will be running in opposition to the #DemocraticParty and taking votes from them, which leads to understandable frustration.

Andrew's messaging is only making his job much harder, by inciting unnecessary outrage through misunderstandings of his intent.
