... 2/5 which is not to say there aren't divides - but have held same line for entire Article 50 process, sufficient progress - q the feat
3/5 Put simply - the 27 diff Governments of the EU have chosen to show more unity among themselves, than the 28 members of our Cabinet
4/5 & choosing to prosecute Brexit as exercise in compliance of 48% rather than consultative, evidence-based, unifying process was a risk
5/5 Instead of blatant attempts to try to split EU27, perhaps more fruitful to focus on unifying Parliament/ UK behind common ground Brexit
... eg inviting in leaders of all the Political parties post GE to at least try to see if there was any scope for unity negotiating position
if we seriously head anywhere near No Deal - we will see extraordinary constitutional ructions, well beyond what we have seen to date.
