In no way am I trying to belittle the National Epidemic currently killing 100 Americans per Day. In fact, I busy my arse to help & educate others ab the issue and risks whenever I can. I've studied this for a longtime, before the Epidemic was common news.
However, whilst in Uni. I wrote papers, interviewed Elected Officials, spoke w\ the wonderful people at The Drug Policy Alliance {Bravo, DPA, Pls, keep fighting!}, & ways to combat the issue; from calling out the failure that is DARE, to Plan Colombia, to Actually Educating ppl.
Misinformation, scare tactics, the Bollocks-Based and waste of taxpayer & Police/Sheriff/Muni. Resources, as well as School and Class-Time lecherous DARE Classes, which studies PROVE to be ineffective, & Actually Show a Positive Correlation W\ DRUG USE, vs students w\out DARE!
Just Say No, with all due respect to First Lady Nancy Reagan, {RIP and know you, and President Reagan are loved and missed} was not the appropriate method then, and it sure as Hell isn't now. We need to go 4th Estate: Wx5 & How, as a means to combat and end this.
Note: I'm not saying this because I want an award or a cupcake, rather to signify that I've dedicated many years and a lot of personal and professional time to do all I can to help people. And that's my only motivation for this rant. To have this killing so many is unacceptable
