1. Some thoughts on the recent staff shakeups and the moves by President Trump on policy.
2. Always remember Trump can easily see what we see. He understands that much of the establishment is against him. The man isn't stupid.
3. Some of the staff changes are just normal wear and tear of a very active President. People get burned out working those types of hours and days for months after months. Other issues call them away; family concerns, relationships, money, health issues.
4. Some staff were selected by Pres Trump to give him on the job training. He selected people that were not lined up with his agenda but knew how DC worked and he learned from them. Many of these types are no longer needed.
5. Some staff were selected FOR him by the establishment as a "price" for their tact support.
6. Some staff lied to get the job then worked against him on policy and outcome. These Quislings are the worse.
7. Some staff were selected for trusted advice and aa a trusted confidant; people like Hope, Ivanka, Jared etc.
8. However, no matter why they were selected to begin with President Trump has grown in office. He has accomplished much of his agenda in the first year. He has learned how things are done, who he can trust, who he can't.
9. He now knows who wishes to control him and who wishes to use him to enact their agenda.
10. He has also moved to a second phase of his agenda, namely trade and issues for the midterms.
11. All of these things are coming to a natrual fork in the road. I expect some more change over in the WH in the near term. Trump is consolidating his power base.
12. He will drive out the Quislings. He will weed out those who aren't aligned with his agenda. He will break those that try to control him, or box him in.
13. Many of those he hired to help train him in the ways of DC are no longer needed.
14. His trade policy as well as Iran policy will expose many people as enemies of the state.
15. There are 7 months until the midterms. The omnibus bill will most likely be the last major bill rammed through Congress. Now everything becomes a campaign issue.
16. Trump will now use the bully pulpit and the power of the office to make inroads into foreign policy. He will make major trade deals.
17. He will attempt to make the midterms into a national race.
18. All of these things require a different set of skills by his staff. Its a whole new ball game and the relievers are taking the field.
