Note: Gina Haspel participated in a torture program that involved beating an (innocent) pregnant woman's stomach, anally raping a man with meals he tried to refuse, and freezing a shackled prisoner until he died. She personally wrote the order to destroy 92 tapes of CIA torture.

Security is process of choosing between "less safe" and "more safe;" and continuing to fork toward safety until you reach "safe enough."
@toholdaquill @NSAGov @Tails_live Against a TLA, Tor (when used with particular care for what is being transmitted, and how, so as to limit the impact of bad exits and traffic analysis) was and is, in my opinion, far better protection than typical alternatives like static VPN tunnels.
@toholdaquill @NSAGov @Tails_live "Far better" doesn't imply "secure against TLA," it just means "more safe." "More safe," in isolation, often means "not safe enough," which is why we layer in protection for defense in depth. Even way back in prehistoric 2013, Tor was simply the outermost layer.

The CIA threatened to rape and kill the mothers of the tortured. They went on to rape those on hunger strikes with food products, claiming it was for their health. Doctors disagreed, describing it as rape and finding it left injuries consistent with rape. bustle.com/articles/53334…

These cables confirm the findings of the Senate Intel report, and show why the release of a nominee’s FULL record before confirmation is absolutely necessary. We shouldn’t rely on restricted & incomplete records to evaluate nominees – whether to the Cabinet or the Supreme Court.
During confirmation, Gina Haspel asserted that the torture program produced valuable & actionable intelligence. These cables and the Senate Intel report suggest otherwise, yet the American public was denied information necessary to evaluate that conclusion prior to confirmation.
This shows why we must have access to all of Brett Kavanaugh’s records. The time to review his record is before voting on a lifetime appointment, not after. Reviewing a small set of documents that his own former deputy chose fails to provide a complete picture. #ReleaseTheRecords
