Date is native to India!
The claim that was made that Date was brought to India by Arabs/Moghuls/Portuguese is false. Read the whole thread to conclude.
All references given at the end.
Chapter 6 of Madanapala Nighantu described date in 12th century, 250 years before the word "Date" came into English language. (Check M-W for word history in English)
Madanapala calls it खर्जूरिका

4. Claim is made that Date (Karjura) was brought to India by the Arabs/Portuguese.
#Mythbusting #Indian Food is native to #India

Let us check that claim.
Before we do that, I will take this opportunity to educate you on the methods used.
Till today, the standards used by Indian historians have been very arbitrary and have been farcical.
Standards of scientific proof in fields such as bioscience, food science, history, agronomy, and culture were not very well developed in India.
Sanathana is a wounded civilization. It really does not need huge burden of proof to prove that colonizers incorrectly assigned "external debt".
Yet I am taking extremely high standards and explaining the standards here.

A '#Mythbusting' mayhem [Thread]:

Last Friday, 4 June, @NHSDigital removed the “Mythbusting social media posts” box from the top of its main #NationalDataOptOut page:

web.archive.org/web/diff/20210… < Web Archive diff showing 3 June vs 5 June

They also removed...
...the @NHSDigital call centre phone number and replaced it with text directing people to the #NHSapp. (If they tell us what changed, we’ll change our website too – but they’ve not yet asked.)

In the same time frame, they changed the...
...“Read NHS Digital's response to the false information about the national data opt-out” link link on:

so that instead of going to the “Mythbusting social media posts about the national data opt-out” page...

Our #vancomycin AUC-based therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) counterpoint is out!

Thrilled to work on this with @wfwrighID @BradSpellberg & Twitterless Andrew Shorr 😀

Check out 🧵for highlights? 👇 1/n
Brief background.
1st 2009 #vancomycin guidelines recommended troughs 15-20 for serious MRSA infections due to #vancomycin ‘MIC creep’ & associated treatment failures.
But not based on evidence for efficacy or safety 😶

academic.oup.com/ajhp/article-a… 2/n
Since then, we learned MRSA #vancomycin ‘MIC creep’ likely due inherent MIC assay variability / limited clonal outbreaks.

A #thread on busting some myths around the coronation of Shivaji Maharaj.

Coronation of Shivaji Maharaj was one of the revolutionary event of the 17th century India. Amidst all the Sultanates & Mughal Empire, a Hindu warrior crowns himself as a King!
#ShivajiMaharaj #Hindutva
2.
However, there are some myths that need to be busted. Historian Jadunath Sarkar has developed some myths about Coronation & Kshatriya Hood of Shivaji Maharaj.

He called Bhosales as Śudras & mere tillers of soil. Jadunath also says that they were "popularly known" as such.
3.
This is a ridiculous thing to claim, without any shred of evidence.

This thread will provide the evidence, showing that many people contemporary of Shivaji Maharaj knew, that he *was* a born Kshatriya.
