Hello there!
At around 5 AM Fire breaks out on bridge linking Crimea and Russia, causing ‘significant damage’ / even total destruction some claims.
#Kerch bridge
2/ there are other videos showing the direct explosion & it seems to show indeed the total destruction of the bridge.
on 2 "stills" pic we can clearly see that the part of the bridge that support road has been totally "cut" (square section). but actually even on the back another
3/ section has been cut, and the structure of the bridge itself has been deeply impacted (yellow arrow) indicating a total bending of the main structure.
so even if the other half part seems "untouch" it is very unlikely (totally) that this part could be use in near future.

1/ Operational situation update regarding the #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on August 29, 2022.
-no major changes on the front line-
But a very particular day today - all major Ru offensives were pushed back and some ukr alleged victories near #Kerson
#UkraineMap #CarteUkraine
2/ i could produce a map in the #Kherson area with lots of crosses and says : here & here & here... but the truth is no one right now is able to confirm anything! nothing!
so we'll see in the coming days how it goes. nothing to worry. only good news today.
3/ i just give last gen staff report. i got to stop tonight. just be careful with infos as Pro russians r sharing some old footage now, so when you claim Ukr have advanced in a specific area then they will shut you down.. & point out your failures and mistakes
take care you all!

1/ Article tres intéressant du NY times qui revient sur qq récents gros succès des Ukrainiens contre les Ru notamment sur la base aérienne de #Saki en #Crimea
nytimes.com/2022/08/28/us/…
2/ American official later briefed on the attacks said #Ukrainian commandos & partisan fighters had used an "improvised array of weapons, explosives and tactics in the strikes. 'It’s all homegrown,' the official said, 'We did not get any advance notice.”
& also :
3/ so at the end of the day, we had from US officials (not just CIA director that would say whatever he thinks is the best to say), that it was all Ukrainians, we had Ukr officials who said so, several times, and even #arestovych gave 2 very important tiny details about it.

Russian leadership and the Russian nationalist information space are falsely framing recent Ukrainian strikes on Russian military assets in #Crimea as acts of terrorism to shift the information narrative away from Russian violations of international law. 🧵isw.pub/RusCampaignAug… Image
#Russian sources on August 17 inaccurately described the recent #Ukrainian strikes on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, an ammunition depot, and the #Saki Airbase in Russian-occupied #Crimea as acts of terrorism. /2
The Russian-appointed head of occupied #Crimea claimed that the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in Crimea had neutralized cells of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization & accused the Ukrainian government of coordinating Hizb ut-Tahrir's operations without providing evidence. /3

1/ Wooow just getting back on twitter and this..
"Moooooorning Vietnam!"
i guess the dday is gonna be full of "memes"!
also the attack seems huge but only few missiles on right ammo depot can produce this effect.
#Dzhankoy #Crimea
2/ Gawd this mushroom icon is so "fun" to watch when it's on a #Russian military base..
on another vid there is one hit and after the main explosion, there is a chain of subsequent ones.
also the place is a very important place for railroad terminals & warehouses
#Dzhankoy
3/ #Djankoï #Джанкой is actually a relativiely small city of 36k inhabitants but a very vey important railroad nods and with some very important strategic warehouses because of that.
This could another MAJOR blow (pun intended) to Ru in #crimea
Morale will collapse there.

1. Following the explosions at #Saky airbase on Tuesday, satellite imagery (from @Planet) of their aftermath has emerged.

Multiple buildings and aircraft were destroyed – with at least three distinct craters clearly apparent.

L: 9 Aug
R: 10 Aug
2. Several aircraft housed in 3-sided berms were destroyed, while others closer to the apparent impact craters seemed to survive.

There are a few possible explanations for this (for e.g., some aircraft may have been carrying munitions while others were not).

L: 9 Aug
R: 10 Aug
3. In videos shared across pro-#Kremlin Telegram that had reportedly been shot immediately after the first 'strike,' smoke can be seen billowing before a large explosion at the site.

Welcome to Wednesday's daily thread on #Russia's attack on #Ukraine.

It's Day 168 of the war, but all the buzz and chat is about what happened yesterday in #Crimea. Here's the link to yesterday's thread.

We are still no nearer knowing the real reason for the devastating blow to #Russia on #Crimea

#Ukraine again denies it's anything to do with them, but no-one believes the RU version of an "accident"

To get an idea of the force of the blasts, watch the last few seconds of this:
13 people are dead after shelling in #Dnipropetrovsk region this morning. 11 more civilians are injured.

12 died when around 40 grads hit the centre of #Maryanets near Nikopol. Two schools and more than 20 high rise apartment blocks were hit.

#BREAKING: Massive explosion in western outskirt of #Odessa. A S-300PS surface-to-air missile system of #UkrainianAirForce fired a pair of missiles at a #Russian military aircraft.
Here is what the #UkrainianAirForce has shot-down in west of #Odessa. Type of the aircraft is unknown to me but judging on basis of the flight suit of the pilot, it was probably from #RussianNavy.
Pilot of the downed aircraft of #Russian Armed Forces in the west of #Odessa is now captured 👇

1/ Research suggests such public convictions for rape have significant implications for ⬆️ reporting to police but that those ⬆️ can be short lived without messaging to the public that the CJ system is (really) willing to investigate & prosecute rape. @BegunCenter @MandelSchool
2/ The Weinstein news might also be trigger for some. Your friends & family might also disclose or otherwise want to talk to you about their experiences. Educate yourself on the best ways to respond. For all: there’s a 24-7/365 hotline # for more info: rainn.org/about-national…
/3 Weinstein verdict is also evidence that times are changing. Jurors can understand victim behavior and believe victims when given a chance to. It’s the CJ system’s job’s to explain the science to them. Convictions from Cuyahoga County’s #SAKI also demonstrate this. #TimesUp
