I have a more down to earth explanation for where we are today. Putin is guaranteeing we're well out of the way so we're not available to stop a Russian move against Europe. He'll retake all the countries that escaped Soviet Russia, and then move against Western Europe.

Putin's only 65. He has no serious opposition beyond Angela Merkel, and nobody has the level of espionage that his country has. Look at us. We're eating our own in an attempt to get Trump out of office, which Russian influence managed from the other side of the world.

Religious nuts are clueless pawns. They might just bring about Armageddon, by virtue of ignoring all the warnings about our environment and where climate change will lead, but that whole thing about going somewhere better? That's a lie.

And the really sad thing is that our leaders in power know it. Cruz, Pence, Trump himself. They've all read enough of The Prince and its derivative texts.

Why else would they back a three-time adulterer with a record of failed businesses and a rap sheet a mile long?

Our forefathers knew this could happen. Hamilton knew it. He and the others who wrote the Federalist Papers knew it.

Trouble is, nobody teaches that stuff in schools, and pretty soon schools won't teach anything else but trades to anyone who can't afford private schools.

The last enlightened generation is graduating soon. What's left of them will never forget or forgive those of you who pissed your rights away for a dangling carrot of religious fanaticism disguised as a better life.

I don't care why you voted for Trump, Johnson, or Stein.
