There are three amazing claims in David Davis’ Sunday Times piece

1) under a free trade deal, the EU will defer to rulings of an independent panel when deciding whether future UK regulatory divergence is problematic
2) that “most” EU member states are absolutely fine with such a system of mutual recognition, allowing max freedom and max access for uk, overseen and enforced by a non-EU body.

(DD goes on to tell any doubters that they shouldn’t worry, the eu has done it before)
3) that the Northern Ireland border issue is a manufactured political problem that poses no real practical challenge
