One thing that's always made me curious about Evangelicals: they claim the Bible is the irrefutable reality of the world. Unstoppable. Revelations will come. They say a one-world government (UN, EU, etc.) is a sign of that. And yet... they do all they can to stop it. 🧐
So, if entities like the United Nations and European Union really ARE signposts of God's promise to destroy the world a second time and nothing can stop that, what would be the reasoning behind stopping them as someone who claims to welcome God's eternal promise in Revelations?
Such a tragedy. As a Christian, I spend so much time thinking about the fear and terror my religion has inflicted on the world. These folks both want to see the world burn AND be self-righteously smug in its conflagration. That can't possibly be the message of Christ.
