I wrote this with @NormEisen in 2016. I plan to fix this in the Senate.
Regardless of what happens Tuesday I'll continue to do everything I can to drive from office every President, Vice President and Member of Congress with financial conflicts of interest

And the best way to fix Trump's financial conflicts of interest is to vote for Democrats for the House and Senate. It's time for impeachment proceedings to begin.

That’s the entire point of having the DC and NYC mayor and police chief maintain order. Keeping visitors and emoluments flowing into Trump properties is surely their top priority.

To avoid improper augmentation of official federal government communications functions during a shutdown when normal functions are suspended Twitter should suspend all Twitter accounts of all federal officials until the government reopens.
Start with @realdonaldtrump.
@realDonaldTrump When the government is open Twitter is just one of many means of communication, particularly in the Executive Branch. During a shutdown the Executive Branch —particularly POTUS — relies so heavily on Twitter that anti-augmentation statutes are a real issue.
@realDonaldTrump In a shutdown situation when normal functions are suspended, including communications, government officials with large Twitter following have an even greater disproportionate advantage than they normally do. The government— or what’s left of it — is being run via Twitter.
