Well dang it! One of those fancy renewable energy companies was just charged with $500 million in tax fraud between 2010-2016 who would have ever thought these earth saving companies receiving massive grants would behave in such way! The horror.. #sarcasm
Here’s one little grant of almost $500k who wants to bet there’s more? Who wants to bet there’s much, much more to WRE? Why do you think everyone was so triggered by Pruitt?
Oh here’s some big money in Vermont about $8 million in grants another $9million in loans. Government cheese.
Here is the interesting part, previous administration slapped them with some fines but it was $3 million not $500 million 🧐 Spidey senses going off with these guys dont know why.

Long story that I was going to attempt to thread one day but since we’re here I’ll just explain it. A few years ago McCabe and FISA court sued search engines to NOT populate this data, it was under the guise of National Security of course but pretty sure it had darker intentions.

What we argue here is that using what is basically a 1970s-era definition of renewable energy, and conflating "renewable" with "sustainable" or even "clean," is becoming more a hindrance than a help in meeting the main challenge of the early 2000s - #climatechange . 2/
We argue that the concept of RE was largely set in stone well before the magnitude of #climate challenge, and actual problems with some sources that are technically renewable, was understood. This has resulted to, e.g., using the "renewable" label to cover all bioenergy. 3/
