I'm kind of having a creative block because at the moment I feel like colorizing photos that unfortunately are not available in the public domain... since I can't do this, it's getting harder and harder for me to find interesting options that I can use without any restrictions...
I also feel like colorizing complex/detailed photos but I do not have time to do this for fun. So that's my dilemma....

Amelia Earhart was declared dead #OnThisDay in 1939.

She was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.

Earhart was the daughter of Samuel "Edwin" Stanton Earhart and Amelia "Amy". She was born in Atchison, Kansas, in the home of her maternal grandfather, Alfred Gideon Otis, who was a former federal judge, the president of the Atchison Savings Bank.
According to family custom, Earhart was named after her two grandmothers, Amelia Josephine Harres and Mary Wells Patton. From an early age, Amelia was the ringleader while her sister Grace Muriel Earhart (1899–1998), two years her junior, acted as the dutiful follower.

1. What is CCI and why is it important?

CCI means – Certificate for Capital Importation. It is issued on evidence of importation of foreign exchange into Nigeria for the purpose of investment in a local company. This investment can be in form of cash or equipment. #MTNRefund
The rule is that once you import FX to invest in a company in Nigeria you must sell the FX to the bank within 24 hours of inflow and the bank will issue a certificate for capital importation (CCI) IFO the investor. The CCI must indicate whether it's for Equity or loan. #MTNRefund

We welcome this initiative by @NITIAayog, but a call for comments would have been a welcome addition. The paper takes important steps forward from the #AI Task Force report released earlier this year by the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry (dipp.nic.in/sites/default/…). 2/n
This paper attempts a more holistic look at a broader range of issues concerning AI including #regulation, #ethics, #fairness, #transparency and #accountability. However, a number of issues still remain with this paper. 3/n

1. The most telling thing (for me) about this story, is that this is ALL open source journalism. This is information available throughout the public domain. This is how powerful we are with what they give us, and why I am a STAUNCH advocate for transparency in government.
2. An HONEST and free press, that works with INTEGRITY, is one of the cornerstones of a free society. Trust in traditional media is gone. New media is taking over. Our desire for truth is born out of our yearning to save our great nation. It is this which drives me each day.
3. We care about the TRUTH. The best antidote for corruption is sunlight, and over the coming weeks, months, and years, I promise you I will uphold the values the media once based its foundations on.
