democrats can't campaign on simply being anti-trump, or just say "treason" over and over because that isnt ever going to lure any trump people away. they have to go whole hog on m4a, abolition of ice, and other tangible quality of life improvements
unfortunately you'll find that a lot of centrist democrats think races are won on personal charisma and sorkin speeches and marketing and "rock the vote"-style voting drives. theyre still going off of bill clinton playing the saxophone or some shit
clinton didnt win because he was a likeable smart southern fella who bridged the divide. he won because perot split the vote and because Bob dole looked and sounded like an actual frankenstein
