HAHAHA COOL, FIREFOX DECIDED TO REMOVE THE NOTES FIELD FOR BOOKMARKS. I WAS STORING A BUNCH OF FUCKING IMPORTANT INFORMATION IN THERE FOR WORK. IT'S ALL FUCKING GONE.
nobody in tech gives a fuck about human beings. nobody in this garbage fucking industry cares what human beings do, how their lives work, what impact anything they do will have on anyone.

i decided to play with pygame a little. i created a sprite subclass, instantiated it and put it in a sprite list, and when i kill() it it never gets garbage collected so the program is instantly uselessly memory-leaky
this is 100% of my experiences trying to do anything interesting with code. i immediately hit a brick wall like this and i have no idea where to begin figuring it out, or if the helper library is fundamentally broken
i swear to god the only time in my life i ever got a *single inch* into this is when the only library i was using was SDL. if i use anything fucking else, i just spend endless hours trying to figure out the bizarre mentality of someone elses library instead of doing actual work

been watching a lot of speedruns and thinking again about how the way they break apart game design challenges my assumptions about how games are made
in the NES era in particular, I had always assumed that monsters were almost 100% RNG. it turns out they're more like 0% RNG. I'm not sure *why* I assumed that, because I knew better
When the NES was my only console, I played a small handful of games countless times. I never got good at any of them but for the parts I knew, I never got surprised. I would get my ass kicked by enemies I *knew* were coming.

This formula has proven to be most helpful once I spent some time in the field. Early on, it was hard to determine what was important vs. not. As a result, my earlier notes were incredibly broad. Sometimes they focused too heavily on what I heard (rather than what I saw).
But, even that labor was not necessarily fruitless-- those data matter. But I noticed that pattern after several sessions (and after I talked to advisers). They pushed me to think about better ways to contextualize what happened (and, more importantly, how it happened).

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.

I spoke to people on the ground: The Russian decision was unclear and considered unwelcome by the forces on the ground. Still, many elements of this move are unclear.
