They are going to "Trump it up" if they get elected. Say goodbye to protection for women's rights to autonomy over their own bodies. Say goodbye to protection for the environment (Ford has already started on that). 4/19
Say goodbye to universal health care. Say goodbye to protection of LGBTQ2+ people and people of colour. Say goodbye to sane gun laws. Say goodbye to consumer protection and worker protection and minimum wages and social programs. 5/19
Say goodbye to modern best practices in health (sex-ed) education. In fact, say goodbye to universal public education. Say goodbye to freedom of religion because the only religion that will be free is Corporate Christianity. 6/19
Say goodbye to personal privacy, intellectual property, Canadian culture, and political transparency. Say goodbye to science and empirically-based policy-making. Say good bye to the Census and any good data collection. 7/19
If the conservatives take control of Canada, we are headed into the dark ages. Like under Harper, but worse, because now they have allies around the world, thanks to Harper and the IDU. 8/19
These people either don't believe in science because they think the world is 6,000 years old and a 900 year old man named Noah built an ark and put 2 of every animal in it, or they choose to use religious delusion as a way of manipulating how reality is presented. 9/19
They lie. They lie all the time. They put out press releases that lie. They put out tweets and facebook posts and Youtube videos that lie. 10/19
They lie in their press conferences and interviews and no one in our mainstream media (except Dale Smith) challenges them. 11/19
They say Alberta is being devasted by an NDP government. Meanwhile, in fact, Alberta leads the country in growth. They say Canada is is being devastated by a Liberal government. Meanwhile, in fact, Canada is leading the G7 in growth. 12/19
THEY LIE. Can we please call it what it is? It is not a matter of perspective. They lie. Opinions are fine if you are choosing a flavour of ice cream. Opinions are worthless if you are trying to lead a country. Or a province. 13/19
But the conservative parties eschew expert input. They want to rule by opinion. Public opinion, mostly. Which means dude sitting in his Ma's basement in his underwear scratching his belly gets more credence than people who have studied a subject intensively for decades. 14/19
I know. People who are not academically inclined may feel angry towards governments who respect the work of academic experts. 15/19
But you wouldn't get Stanley, who you met on the bus, to take your appendix out, now would you? 16/19
So, what the F'ing hell makes you think Stanley knows how to run a country? It is at least as complex. 17/19
