Israel's ruling elite are hostage to a one-track worldview beyond which they are tragically unable see. When pressured, they only double down on what didn't work. Despite their self-delusions, they're tactical thinkers, unable to think strategically. Violence, violence, violence.
You can't fight history. You can't roll back the world to the past. You can't change human nature. People, when subjugated, will *never* stop resisting, regardless how much violence you unleash on them.
They *still* think that somehow, if they make life difficult enough for the Palestinians, the Palestinians will stop resisting and will accept to live in subjugation. This will *never* happened. This has *never* happened in all of human history.
