The @CityofMiami has NO leadership. Elected officials have had NO independent comment on the anti-Semitic cop’s video. They’ve either remained silent or piggybacked on the police chief’s strong condemnation with weak replies like these from Mayor @FrancisSuarez. Shameful.
Even more pathetic than @FrancisSuarez’s inaction is Commissioner @kenrussellmiami’s bootstrapping “what he said” tweet in which he has no opinion on anti-Semitism or the cop’s misconduct. No city official has publicly called for the cop to be fired or suspended without pay.
Of course, spineless Miami mayor @FrancisSuarez continues to pander to the Jewish community during Hanukkah in the most cynical and slimy way while failing to independently condemn the video of anti-Semitic speech by a @MiamiPD officer because Miami.
