Taking a late lunch. Listening to @theresa_may give a strong talk on "One Nation Tory" ideals of strong economy and fair society ... pity this isn't the reality on the ground i.e. poverty, deaths through austerity. Too much Neoliberalism not enough One Nation ...
... it's like the NHS long term plan. There are lots of good ideas in there but at the same time you have personal budgets which in itself leads to a more US style insurance approach to healthcare.
X : You seem in favour of One Nation Tories?
Me : I'm Old Labour which is all about strong economy and strong society. The difference between Old Labour and One Nation Tory is splitting hairs compared to the difference with Neoliberalism i.e. Thatcherism and Blairism.
Excellent words by @Anna_Soubry on the importance of being able to debate in the national interest without threats, abuse and intimidation. Unfortunately @theresa_may has fallen from a positive voice of hope to simply attacking Labour with innuendo and ... oh, well.
