Government Brexit animation joyfully explaining via tickboxes that businesses “like yours” are preparing for No Deal in 9 weeks time:

✅ Customs Declarations
✅ Safety & security declarations
✅ Documents at the border
✅ Product licenses
✅ Temporary import processes
“To keep your supply chain running smoothly.. talk to your suppliers and customers”...

For reference - Irish Government was funding business supply chain changes with loans just under a year ago.
Actually interesting that it doesn’t mention that these tickboxes only apply to a No Deal situation.... but they only apply in a No Deal situation. They won’t be required if there’s a deal or if A50 extended.

Airbus chief exec attacks Brexit “disgrace” - no Deal will divert investment and make no mistake other countries want to build wings for aircraft. “Airbus not dependent on UK”...

It did warn about this months ago.
In Whitehall, expecting cascade of these types of announcements hearing now of active moves in EU capitals to cultivate various multinationals to activate No Deal relocation plans for HQs/ manufacturing from UK for those that need to maintain EU single market privileges

J Rees Mogg suggesting Government suspends Commons ahead of Article 50 to enforce No Deal exit:

“If Commons undermines our basic constitutional conventions then Executive is entitled to use other vestigial constitutional means to stop it, by which I basically mean prorogation”
... it sounds as though this is more of a challenge to the PM to stand up to Speaker/Opposition and rebels legislating to rule out No Deal, says PM has this ultimate power to stop them and so will be ultimately responsible. If she allows it he says MPs will hold her to account.
Probably an enterprising MP drafting a procedural amendment to remove power of prorogation Commons from Number 10...

Pathetic virtue signalling from a woeful Government
If this was about helping business there would have been Government help long before today - here for example is the Dutch website set up some months ago brexitloket.nl, and here's financial support for Irish business intertradeireland.com/brexit/brexit-…
Also, has Government considered that doing this a week before Christmas isn't exactly allowing everyone to start to wind down for a festive break (as MPs will be taking from tomorrow)?

Theresa May has destroyed any chance of a decent Brexit.

How badly I feel for the people of the UK today! They got sold down a river.

Theresa should never have been the one to lead the negotiations. She never even believed in Brexit.

The UK won’t be great again.
Given the #Brexit deal on the table, the UK would be far better off leaving without a deal.

It astounds me that with all the problems they have, they keep electing the same government to lead them.

You’ve got great people like @Nigel_Farage who could’ve done a REAL job!
I don’t understand how a Prime Minister can lose 16 Cabinet Members within the space of a year and continue to govern.

These are people quitting on her. Not her firing them!

This woman needs to step aside. They’ve made a mockery of #Brexit and taken it up the rear from the EU!

I talked to business lobby groups, Stephen Kelly from @ManufacturingNI fresh back from talks with Barnier. And bosses of big companies.

- all-UK in a temporary customs Union
- Northern Ireland only in Single Market for goods, via devolution
- no checks GB-NI
