They will invariably tell you how they really against #antisemitism.

Really truly against it.

As #Tpopularfront does.
But then you notice they have promoted someone likes David Duke & Neo-Nazi material.
Let that sink in, they claim to be against antisemitism & they go out of their way to promote a really hardcore racist, #palestinepr

By mere chance #TheBirmingham6 has been rather chatty with assorted neo-Nazis on Twitter including the infamous #IanRMillard
Not that #TheBirmingham6 would have noticed how #IanRMillard was fond of saying "Zionists" too, when not saluting the Nazi SS in video clips.

That was the quickest scan of #Tpopularfront which showed 3 hardcore racists & muckers of neo-Nazis or consumers of their ideas.

Terribly depressing how they hang out on #SocialistSunday

A small thread on antisemitism & the Left's attitude.

I have been a socialist longer than I care to recall.

So it grieves me when the British Left (or chunks of it) don't take racism seriously, promote known racists or dismiss concerns about racism.

It is increasingly common.
I tend to warn people if they interact with obvious racists.

Typically, adults & sensible people are shocked that they might have, mistakenly, helped a racist gain a wider audience.

But not all.

There is a section of the British Left that don't care if they aid racists.
One example:

"You are blocked from following @TomLondon6 and viewing @TomLondon6's"

Tom is v. popular on Twitter with nearly 40,000 followers.

His actions matter, when he says something people listen.

Tom is used as an example by others, quoted as a defence, as a reference.

The noises coming out of #Labour on racism towards Jews (let us call it that) are increasingly hollow.
Let's not even talk about the 1000s of oddballs in & around Labour, who rant on about "Zionists", etc like UKIPers talk about "immigrants", but we know where both are pointing.

One is profiled here in detailed (& mostly ignored by Labour "radicals")

You will recall when Taxi Artist use to rant on about "Bilberberg", as per modern antisemitic conspiracy theories?
Or the Taxi Artist's efforts to promote the plainly racist, Alex Jones?

Mansfield CLP member Roland Laycock insists that we have no problem with #antisemitism in @UKLabour. He reckons it's just a smear campaign and believes that the Jewish people raising concerns about it never criticise austerity or Tory policies. /1
Roland Laycock is keen to promote the Labour Party, which, as a fellow activist myself, isn't something I would normally criticise. He supports the #PeoplesVote campaign and signed the letter calling for a second referendum on EU membership published in today's Observer. /2
However, I feel that some of Roland Laycock's views run against the values for which our party stands. He is, for example, sceptical the Holocaust affected Jews in the way that's commonly understood. Indeed he thinks Jews started WW2 and that the Germans were its main victims. /3

Lots of articles, some useful podcasts from some of the pro-Corbyn commentariat on left antisemitism but three words noticeably absent from the debate. Jewish. Labour. Movement.

Also, the role new-left media has played in fostering an antisemitic culture has been overlooked 2/
Opposing left wing antisemitism means challenging parts of new-left media where anti-Jewish bias is prevalent. There's just no way round this. Some specific examples: The Canary's been on a mission to normalise the Nazi metaphor with Israel. (Really helpful guys, thanks)
