No no no no @MailOnline it isn't an "EU court" - the European Court of Human Rights has nothing to do with the European Union. They are established under separate treaties. The EU has its own court (the ECJ). Pease change this!

@RachelRileyRR Obviously not all people sending abuse to Rachel and many others (especially Jewish women) are Labour members or officials. But having followed this closely for a year or so it is my strong view that the Labour Party have brought this on themselves...
... It was clear 3 years ago there was a rising tide of antisemitism at the grassroots level but also within the Corbyn-led mass movement. The Baroness Royale, Chakrabarti and Home Affairs Committee reports were published by Autumn 2016. Royale's was limited but was squashed...

Sounds like Martin Lewis got a brilliant result here - ‘dropped’ doesn’t cover it
For context, people often "drop" a legal claim if they are offered a settlement. In fact, a requirement of any settlement is that the claimant withdraws the claim, as that's what's in it for the defendant.

One interesting question is whether Facebook paid @MartinSLewis's costs
@MartinSLewis ... if a defendant agrees to pay a claimant's costs, that is a good indication that they thought they were going to lose or there was a serious risk that they would.

Even so, for a wider campaigning case that might not be the priority for the claimant

I often agree with @EuroBriefing as I think he & colleagues offer some of the best insights on European politics. But the below is just unthinkable. Were the UK to unilaterally revoke Art.50, I'd bet a case would be put before the ECJ to stop this from happening.
Say UK stays in the #EU under Corbyn with the clear plan of triggering #Article50 a little down the line. What would a good EU lawyer do? She (because, let's face it, it would be a she 😉) would advice the EU institutions to bring the #UK before the #ECJ.
Why? Because, as a member-state, the UK would have breached Article 4 of the Treaty on European Union (TEU) which lays down something very boring called the "principle of sincere co-operation" between the EU member-states and the EU itself.
