Imagine a state where government pursues policy that wrecks industry, makes people poor, creates civil unrest, emboldens racists, serves the interests of our greatest external enemy and disrupts our supply chains of basic food and vital medicines. No need. That's #Brexit. Madness
Sat between two wealthy people at dinner on Friday night. Both voted leave. Both live in or around Chelsea and have second homes in the country. No mortgages. I asked them what they'd do if there was a second referendum and they both said they'd vote Leave because "chaos is good"
I pointed out that most people in Britain aren't mortgage free and wealthy and that a lot of lives will be ruined and they basically stared at me blankly and shrugged
I didn't get up and walk out and remained perfectly friendly and civil. But it was a bit of a struggle after that.
