JRM persisted in pointing out Nissan’s CE Carlos Ghosn was in jail on corruption.

His clear inference: that decisions of a company with a corrupt boss shouldn’t be seen as a problem.

Ghosn has been in a Tokyo jail since Nov on the flimsiest of charges due to a medieval legal system that incarcerates suspects without trial. He could spend another year there until his case comes to court, in a system that convicts 99% of those charged. It is an outrage.

Western politicians like Rees-Mogg should be using their high profiles to bring attention to this appalling abuse of human rights, rather than smear the poor guy for their own dirty political ends.

Sat in High Court. The grounds of @UKEUchallenge are going to ensure some revealing facts emerge about this #brexit.

The notification of withdrawal act 2017 merely gave the PM permission to notify a decision which hasn’t been made according to our constitutional requirements.
The PM’s decision which @A50challenge ensured was located is illegitimate.

How can one person make a decision which impacts on every EU citizen ?

Court cannot quash result of the ref bc it was not legally binding. Claimants seek declaration result is invalid bc of breach of spending &fraud. Gov are treating something which was advisory as binding. Ct plays essential role in looking at process which led to this result.

1.) Before I get into Byzantine stuff I'm going to talk about another important problem called the Two Generals Problem. This is an experiment that represents the issues of computer networking over an unreliable link. In this problem we will call these 2 nodes “Generals”
2.) In this situation, the generals and their armies have come upon a city they wish to attack. Each general’s army on its own is not enough to defeat the enemy army successfully, thus they need to cooperate and attack at the same time

Thread. There is, and always has been, a double standard. Male passion is seen as positive, or at least tolerable. Women's passion is seen as ill tempered and often vile.
Consider this tweet. It meets all the criteria that, supposedly, sired the recent hate mob. It's rude, intemperate, threatens blocks, uses insults, and even has what some people could twist into "reverse bigotry" (antagonising non-Japanese speakers).

Well, where's Kamiya's mob?
There are, of course, differing opinions here. Kamiya's behaviour has been called unprofessional and rude by some of his fans. And there is also a history here of "hostile" language. Just image search "Hideki Kamiya calls people names on Twitter" to get a few choice samples.
