I'll try to stop being so involved in this topic after this weekend. I got more important things to do in my life.

But i still wanted to dissect this "apology"... Or "nonpology" for that matter.

This means. "All i did was being nice"

"If anyone has been made uncomfortable by me, it's not for me to contradict them. It's impossible for me to discern another's personal boundaries. I regret anything I have said or done out of ignorance that has put anyone outside of their comfort zone"

This translates to.

"I'm sorry you felt that way. I never did Anything out of harm but just because i didn't know it better and again. I'm sorry if YOU felt that way"
He basically also says he never sexually harassed anyone because he didn't know it would not be ok.

Basically. Sucking up to his fans. It's important to groom your audience if you want them to fall for your tricks

"To my colleagues- I have considered you good friends for so many years...." yadda yadda "I had no idea that any animosity even existed. I've never had anything but respect for you."

Here he basically shifts the blame.
He paints his colleagues as the bad guys stabbing him in the back with a knife. "I thought we were friends!" "You never told me anything" "We could have spoken about it"

It's a clever ruse to paint himself as innocent and oblivious. As part of a conspiracy.
And again

"I so deeply regret any words or actions that made any one of you feel otherwise"
A.K.A. "I'm sorry you felt that way"

Then yaddayaddayadda "Many fans have written me over the years" yadda yadda yadda
Translating to. "I'm totally a good guy because i was always nice to my fans. I could never do anything evil. I'm a saint"

This is adding into his "i'm a nice guy and a saint, that's why i will think and pray"

The important part in a Nonpology like this is taking a look at these slight nuances.
He never apologizes for any wrongdoings.
Only for people feeling like they were wrong.
Instead of actually apologizing to his colleagues, he paints them as backstabbers.

He builds up extremely how much he loves his fans, how much has been taken from him and how much of a good guy he is.

And of course...

He never actually mentions any wrongdoings.

He doesn't mention the sexual harassments.

The Sexual assaults.

Being an asshole to Constaff.

He leaves out a ton of accusations because he knows, his fans are too devoted to even realize it.

I'm pointing all of this out, because it's important to see what power words have. Which words you use. When you use them. And which words you actually DON'T use.

Be vigilant when reading statements like these in general. They often don't say what they pretend to.
