Seems money laundering operations are still being exposed & the banks are scrambling to settle up with minimal exposure. Meaning they have to cooperate & flip on the money launderers. #ButNothingsHappening Here's a few new ones today!
So after Danske Bank shut down it's eastern European banks yesterday, Swedbank's stock is falling as it faces money laundering allegations. #ButNothingsHappening
Standard Chartered is in even bigger trouble, but it is close enough to the end to predict it will be paying about a billion dollars in fines. Their case is more interesting and the company is described as a rival to HSBC Holdings. #ButNothingsHappening
This is not a new case, they got a sweetheart deal from the Obama DOJ in 2012, for violating Iranian sanctions before 2007. While the DOJ failed to notice that they were still violating sanctions & laundering money. #ButNothingsHappening 
I wonder if they are only investigating how much the bank hid from the US investigators. Or if they are investigating the fact that they did share information with US authorities who chose not to act on that evidence. #ButNothingsHappening
They were fined last month by NY authorities for rigging foreign currency transactions. Which can serve as a type of money laundering. The group primarily serves customers in Asia, Africa & the Middle East.#ButNothingsHappening
