Wow. This is fascinating & significant. NCA believe it was GRU - same military intelligence agency behind hacking of DNC & attack on Skripal. 
NCA saying this appears to be the first time a "hack-and-leak" operation confirmed to have taken place in UK. This is the exact methodology Mueller is investigating re Wikileaks & US election
Still, I'm very much looking forward to @EmilyThornberry being all over this story. Not a peep from her over foreign interference in elections but she was one of the first to mainstream the leaked information - that NCA came courtesy of the GRU.
