On the anniversary of @carolecadwalla breaking open the #CambridgeAnalytica scandal, I'll be in London at this hearing in the High Court. The public will have no confidence in the liquidation being proposed without addressing the issue of our data rights. justice.gov.uk/courts/court-l…
This is a big deal. Please pledge to my legal defense fund. Every bit counts. I've put myself on the line in the public interest and depend on the support of the public. Donate to my @Crowdjustice using the link below and spread the good word. Thank you.
More than 800 @crowdjustice pledges have already supported my ability to obtain important documents through the courts. For example, I've paid for invaluable court transcripts from the insolvency hearings of Cambridge Analytica/SCL. Be a part of this. crowdjustice.com/case/scl/?ref=…
Thanks to public support of this legal cause, we have distressing evidence that Alexander Nix has been attempting to buy back Cambridge Analytica. Perhaps he thought we wouldn't notice? Those who pledge to the campaign make this work possible. crowdjustice.com/case/scl/?ref=…
NEW: In December 2018, I won court-ordered disclosure of Cambridge Analytica liquidation materials. Letters between the ICO and SCL's then-counsel Squire Patton Boggs show interest in passwords for specific servers they had seized under criminal warrant. telegraph.co.uk/technology/201…
A surprising guilty plea to criminal offense of ignoring ICO's order to give me all my data offered reporters chance to ask about passwords. We don't know when passwords may have been provided or if ICO is satisfied or if the servers have been returned. thedailybeast.com/cambridge-anal…
Today is basically the year-anniversary of the Friday when I filed my claim against Cambridge Analytica/SCL under the UK Data Protection Act of 1998. That evening Facebook suspended CA. That weekend the Chris Wiley story went worldwide. Still at it.
Being profiled by Nix still means we have data rights worth fighting for in England. We've shown that. It's crucial for the public to see a judge ask important questions like these. These concerns and many others will be heard by the court next week. crowdjustice.com/case/scl/?ref=…
BREAKING: Kogan sues Facebook for defamation as scapegoat. The #CambridgeAnalytica saga is bubbling up again, a year later. nytimes.com/2019/03/15/tec…
Cambridge Analytica to the ICO: Professor Carroll has no more data rights than a member of the Taliban in a cave in Afghanistan. (Not joking.)
ICO to Cambridge Analytica/SCL Group: Please note that the website says foreign nationals have data rights. (British understatement FTW.)
When Alexander Nix was before DCMS parliamentary committee he publicly presented his flawed understanding of how the UK Data Protection Act of 1998 would apply to US Citizens. It turns out we have rights in the UK. Hearing on Monday carries this forward.
A year later, we still have so many unanswered questions and so many key players have still not yet come clean. How long will it take? theguardian.com/technology/201…
