In a nutshell from last night; the asking price of club is broadly in line with debt, belief is this is not unrealistic due to the value of the squad. Couple of new parties but only so many people who can deal @ £50m, expect it to be into next season before any progress 1/ #hcafc
IMO the club misjudged supporters reaction to the false alarm at the Birmingham game, hence little communication. An investigation was carried out involving third parties and steward training programme is being addressed. There is a trigger stewards need to hear in emergencies 2/
As that trigger wasn’t given all stewards on duty *should* have known immediately it was false alarm. Couldn’t be heard on concourse due to the nature of the alarm - in a real emergency the concourse PA will be activated also. PA had a full service and speakers replaced in Jan 3/
Concessions as we know them stand very little chance of being seen again under this administration. A new ‘Family Discount’ membership is close (within the next month) to being announced along with full details for next season. We are assured this takes into account the 4/
cancellation period, i.e. give notice at the end of March to cancel for end of the season. Full details due next month. All about incentivising loyalty, I don’t detect any strategy to attract or entice casual fans who come to the odd game. The club disregard the model proposed 5/
by @HullCityST as just a rework of the old model. They claim to be open to ideas on ticketing models, but will not return to the traditional model we are used to. The club call this a ‘failing model’ across the board, claims @The_FSF say the club have a ‘compelling case’ with 6/
current ticketing model and that there may be data to suggest that other clubs (outside the big clubs) are going through similar declines. States external factors such as league, the economy, relationship with owners are more to blame for declining crowds than membership 7/
when pressed that latest big blow to relationship was m’ship intro this was disputed, with blame shifted onto local media as a main reason for negative relationship. No further explanation for the fact 9 of our 10 lowest league attendances since switch to KC are this season 8/
Relationship with @HullCityST shows little sign of thawing. We asked several times to invite a board member. Will deal with ST but not officially, although they want to. Pressed; the Trust structure allows for change and this doesn’t happen so isn’t club stance contradictory? 9/
State they have regular ‘off the record’ consultation with ST, including providing an off the record response the B’ham alarm, Also state @EFL have ‘sympathy’ with their position - pointed out this contradicts communication from @HullCityST. 10/
Position not changing. Will continue to communicate off the record but not involve in an official capacity, although they say they want process to be inclusive 11/
Lots of other bits; members rewards expanding, in-depth supporters survey coming end of season (make sure you and other fans you know are opted in to communications for GDPR), excitement around the app, safe space being created for disabled supporters in Pitchside bar 12/
Improvements to website (although still believe they will secure hullcity.com (@AndyMedcalf?) + no contingency), Tigers TV trying to do more - streaming issues down to 3rd parties, other clubs affected also. Members events 3x per year, members area at open days etc 13/
Lastly tight lipped on contract situation, reading between the lines the likes of Marshall, Evandro etc out of contract will be on their way, feels the focus should be on the pitch ‘whilst we still have a chance of the playoffs’ and pointed to Norwich only recently extending 14/
Farke contract when asked whether it was sensible to have a manager who has done such a good job as Nigel to be in limbo with only 8 games remaining. Also rubbished rumours of the 10k per week salary cap - not an official policy (although no comment on going above either) 15/
Overall more engaging than expected, obvious problem being no movement on big issues but Vicky and her team appear to be working very hard to build a good experience for fans and listening to suggestions, but ultimately those big issues will overshadow this, IMO. #hcafc /ends
