John Minford, #SunTzu 4: 24 "Earth determines measurement; measurement determines estimation; estimation determines calculation; calculation determines comparison; comparison determines victory."

Let's place ourselves in context again. Do you remember verse 1: 2? Have you memorized its list:

1) The Way
2) Heaven
3) Earth
4) Command
5) Discipline

If you have that list in mind, you can see that today's verse focuses on 3, 4 & 5. It assumes 1 & 2.

Yesterday, Master Sun gave us these five steps indicating tactics:

1) Measure
2) Estimate
3) Calculate
4) Compare
5) Win

I don't know why, but I like them more as verbs, as commands, go do this now!, than I do in their noun form as things that happen.

Have you ever wondered what leaders do? Yeah, me too. And I make my living coaching them. Go figure. Well, Master Sun knew we'd wonder that, and in yesterday's and today's verses, he has deigned to give us the correct answer. That is, this is what leaders SHOULD be doing.

Now let's go slowly. In the morning, before battle (or work) commences, a leader must look to the Heavens and ponder The Way. There will either be battle today, or not. If not, why not? The Way and the Heavens indicate that battle is not propitious today. Do not fight.

Do you know who the ancient European god Odin is, also called Wodin? He was the god of war. His day is Wednesday, Wodin's day. And did you know that he always had ravens with him, the birds of war? If you see ravens fly across the heavens, there will be battle today. Prepare.

The sight of the blackbirds on wing should make you ask, am I ready? Are my troops ready? The answer to the question has five steps. What Master Sun teaches us today, is that the first step, measurement, begins upon the Earth.

It's SO tempting to discuss voter registration, and vote counts by district. By the way, what in tarnation is a district? Who knows? We must. If we in MAGA are going to live upon the land, and battle over the Earth, we must learn. What votes count, where? We must know this.

But let's slow down again. Do you know your neighbor? The apartment to your right, your left, across the hall in front, to the right, to the left? The same for houses. Instead of a hall, there is a street. No matter. Who are your neighbors? What are their values, their beliefs?

Let's be even more tactical. What are their names? Are there children, and if so, what are their names? What is their telephone number, email address and social media presence? Their? You and five other households. Three in front, one to the right and one to the left.

I've told you before, I am not a Republican. I wish I could be. But I vote Republican. If I could believe there was such a thing as a MAGA Democrat, I'd vote for that person in a happy minute. MAGA is not a party. It is a command, a verb. Make. Make America great again.

That is the Earth. Who are your candidates? Who do you support by way of the principles of MAGA? Who will your neighbor to the right vote for, your neighbor to the left, across the street or hall, left, in front, right? And most of all, can you speak to them? Honestly? Openly?

Admit it MAGA people, the left kicks our butt in organization. They know the Earth better than we do. They measure it better than we do. They talk to each other. They believe in their cause and not just as individuals, as groups. If we're going to win, we must adapt.

Picture this. I'm at a bar, and I drink too much. I start talking smack to some guy, who knows why. He gets mad, as he too has drunk too much. He wants to throw down and prove he's the better man, and so do I. But, he has a friend with him. I don't. Who will win?

His two people to my one, that is measurement, and we obviously know who will win. It is that simple. Of the five households surrounding mine, which one is on the line, teetering, might go this way or that? And if one person changes, could it be that spouse or mate changes too?

If there's anything that @realDonaldTrump and Brexit have shown, it is this. The Earth is dominated by those who did not previously vote. Do you know how to ask someone, do you vote? Have you ever? Estimations, calculations, and comparisons all follow this. Do you vote?

This is what the left does not want us to realize. We have The Way, and Heaven's will is on our side. Measuring where we stand upon the Earth is our next step. Then, estimation, calculation, and comparison are the things we do in the war planning temple.

In our list of five steps, I find it fascinating that Master Sun leaves out the command, fight. This is so unbelievably consistent. He just wants us to win. He doesn't give a fig about fighting. He doesn't care about tactics. Yes, tactics, when engaged, should be perfect.

But as we just learned in verse 4: 21, the victorious army is victorious first, then shows up. In the MAGA movement, we need 100,000 strategic leaders who will show up, victorious already, having won the votes we need, long, long before the day the votes are counted.

Local leader, let me speak to you. You can persuade. You can recruit. You can find 7 or 8 followers. They too, like you, will be focused upon the five households around themselves. Left, right, across the street or hall, left, in front, right. Do you vote? That's the question.

America is big. Five households around you are small. It doesn't matter who they vote for. What matters is the conversation. Can you instigate it? If so, you are a leader. America needs only 999,999 more like you. Measure, estimate, calculate compare, win. So there we go!
