Also contrary to the lefty caricature, and of particular interest to conservatives and libertarians, Trump's agenda is largely anti-compulsive. He's repeatedly done things that improved the level of choice and freedom for the largest number of people, not just his base voters.
This very definitely includes immigration and border security. Illegal immigration and mass migration are exercises of compulsive force against American citizens. The political elite allows them to occur contrary to the express wishes of the American people.
Trump hectors the media incessantly, but it's the Democrats who can't wait to use compulsive force and raw government power to silence voices they don't like. Trump's re-election in 2020 is the one and only thing that will keep free speech from suffering terrible damage.
Lower unemployment, rising wages, and more lively business formation are powerful liberating forces. Welfare is inherently compulsive, both on those who receive it and those who pay for it. Earning, keeping, and spending your own money as you see fit is true liberation.
The Democrats can't wait to shut down the growth economy and return to building the welfare state, subjugating the middle class forever by making it dependent on socialist programs. Trump is the only one who can keep that from happening in 2020.
The great flaw in a solid across-the-board liberty performance from the allegedly "fascist" and "oppressive" Trump is deficit spending. Out-of-control debt is compulsive. It finances big government programs, hires public workers, and racks up bills that must eventually be paid.
I would advise Trump to run on a liberty agenda, framing his presidency in terms of how he has removed the boot of compulsion from so many American necks. Flip the lefty "Resistance" narrative, show voters how stupid it is, stress how the "Resistance" can't wait to oppress them.
And I would advise Trump to cap off his 2020 campaign by explaining deficit spending is compulsive and laying out his plans to reduce it, knowing voters have less appetite for Big Government now, and sharper appetites for jobs and rising wages. The groundwork has been laid. /end
