Urinary tract infections are infections of the urethra, bladder
When bacteria enters the urethra ---> UTI
These bacteria are usually found in the vagina/anus and can be transferred to the urethra
Toilet infections don't exist
Why?
The urethra is very close to the anus in women. It is easier for bacteria to travel from the anal area into the urethra in women than it will in men, ever wondered why men hardly complain of toilet infections?
Here's one reason why
It can occur in men also but the chances are much higher in women, because of these major differences
Can occur in older men who have difficulty urinating
Urinating immediately after sex can reduce your chances of having this
Also, stop holding urine for long periods of time, they can lead to UTIs
